My husband of 31 years and I are 'enjoying' a divorce. I originally contacted Janet in May to give me some idea what our jointly held house might sell for, as my husband's estimate and mine were not the same for the purpose of asset allocation. Janet came prepared with a photo of the house, area comps and a ready smile. I contacted Janet again in June to list the house when it became clear that the only way to agree on the value of the house was to sell it. She came and we filled out the ream of paperwork required to list a house for sale and she filled out a duplicate set and sent them to my husband to sign. She was patient and understanding even though my husband did not sign the papers until the middle of December.Once he had signed the papers, and it ended up being a challenging co-listing, Janet arranged for open houses over the Christmas holiday - a difficult time to sell a house. She stayed in e-mail contact with me even though I was out of the area. At the same time, she was helping me locate my very own first house - no small undertaking with very specific requirements and minimal dollars.I am already working with Janet on another project - finding my Cal Poly son a place to live in San Luis Obispo, and should I decide in the future to sell the house I just purchased, I will call Janet, and will not hesitate to recommend her to anyone who asks.
